I am looking at getting a new hunting gun and when I was young I loved shooting a 30-06. What I am asking is does anyone know of a good hunting gun that is a 30-06 caliber.

remington model 700 is a slick gun, comes in many styles, check out remington.com and they have them all posted there

i agree with banjoboy model 700 rem. is hard to beat and usually ya can get a scope and rifle for under 400.00 , to me it shoots as good as any of the more ex-spensive gun's , but everyone has there favorites.

I shoot a springfield and i have no complaints about it, then again its the same as the remmington model 700 .30-06 i believe

my fav. out of a 30-06 has to be the browning stalkerII with a boss very very nice gun abit pricey but well worth it.. but ohhh boy u better come with some ear plugs even when hunting with this gun.. this gun will rattle you're ears..
but all in all my fav is the Browning StalkerII boss 30-06

i got a T/C ENCORE 30-06 for christmas and it's a real shooter. i'm gonna use 165 grain BARNES TSX to hunt whitetails here in ky.. i'll let you know how she works out
